What is the latest gossip?

So last night a friend let me know that I was the subject of the latest village gossip.
Apparently I'm seeing a man in the village.
The basis of this gossip?
I was seen going into his house one evening, a few weeks ago! 😱
Obviously me leaving a few minutes later, carrying the microwave I'd just bought off him as mine had blown up wasn't witnessed by the same curtain twitcher!!! 😆

So just wondered what gossip is going round where you live?
Or even better, when have you been the subject of gossip with the most ridiculous foundations?

Nothing at the moment, but people don't half come out with some crap. Actually I did get accused of seeing someone but it was so ludicrous I just shrugged my shoulders and didn't bother to reply. Subcontext: single women are always trying it on and want a maaaan at the detriment to all others.

Oh it doesn't bother me - I'm used to it now!
It just tickled me that the basis of this rumour was purely me being seen going into a man's house for 5 mins!
It's also ironic because I am secretly seeing a man who lives at the other end of the village and nobody has picked up on that yet!!! 😂
