Tesco delivery - when do I give up and go to bed?

Tesco delivery due between 9 and 10. Some confusion about my credit card having expired, even though they sent me an order confirmation. I thought I had cleared up the expired card situation on the phone this afternoon but my shopping has not arrived. Helpdesk is closed.

When do I give up and go to bed?

I normally contact them through direct message on twitter. We have had a couple of deliveries booked for 8 to 9 that didnt turn up. Once they phoned me later on to say it wasn't arriving and once they didn't. I got 20 voucher and a 10 voucher plus prosecco in compensation.
They only deliver til 11 so probably won't arrive tonight.

I always ring their customer service line. Its open til 11 and always find they answer quick and give me an eta

IIRC their latest scheduled slot is 10-11 pm.

The delivery drivers work later than the customer service line, I've been caught out by that before, the shopping didn't turn up and I wasn't able to contact anyone.

And they did nothing to rebook. I had to redo the shop myself, including going to the "back of the queue" for delivery slots and missing out on any offers that were no longer valid. I've only had non-deliveries I think twice in many years of Tesco online shopping, but they were piss poor the way they handled it.

What does the tracker online say? We’ve had an absurdly late delivery once after the van got stuck in a road closure.
