Still searching for an Old Skool pancake roll.

Spring rolls are not the same. It needs to be huge: the size of a burrito; with a pancakey batter, and made fresh on-site from leftovers. It also needs to spit grease all down your front when you bite into it.

We get those, from a Chinese takeaway in a small town near Leeds.

I’m a fussy bugger. I ask for mixed bean sprouts, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots with special fried rice. Prawn crackers are obligatory as scooping food up with implements.
