Covid in the workplace

A colleague has tested positive, he is obviously self isolating. Do the rest of the office need to? There has been contact as in saying hello on the way to desks and a quick chat. I have no symptoms. He tested positive yesterday.

Check the guidelines online. They keep changing. I THINK if you have close contact (ie within 1 metre) for a period of 15mins or more, for 48-72 hours before your colleague developed symptoms, then you need to isolate. But like I said, the guidance seems to change and it’s not that straightforward.

Your employer should really be doing this anyway and advising all staff what to do.
