If there's rats in the garage would it be the landlord's or the tenant's responsibility?

Are you keeping food in the garage ?

Herdwick · 26/10/2020 20:30

Depends how the rats are getting in and why they are staying

purpleme12 · 26/10/2020 20:30

No

The neighbour who used to live here said that the people who used to live here had a problem too. So I think they might have always been here

Landlord but the council comes out for rats

purpleme12 · 26/10/2020 20:35

Can I do anything about this myself?
Or does it need professionals?

Call your council and have them come out

CrotchetyQuaver · 26/10/2020 20:45

Rats aren't easy, it would probably be easier in the longer tern to get professionals in to deal with them rather than try yourself. You can help by making it a less attractive environment for them by getting rid of rubbish and removing hiding places.

Mice are found next to a food source, rats near a water source....probably a broken drain
