Question about people not turning up for job interviews

There's been numerous discussions here about people not turning up for job interviews. It's happened at a couple of places I've worked, too.

Now that a lot of interviews are taking place on Zoom, are people more likely to attend? Or are you still finding that people don't "turn up" to online interviews?

Just wondering.

Hmm, interesting. We have, in the past, often had at least one candidate not turn up butbthe interviews we've done via online do have 100% attendance rate so far. Not always successful in terms of the technology mind Grin

Interesting.

Not the same but similar-ish. I work somewhere we used to just send appointments by post. Now we call to confirm and go through information a couple of days before they are due to come. We are having a much lower “Did Not Attend” rate.

I'm still wondering.

Zoom is just as bad but they are more likely to act like oh something came up so can I reschedule. I think people think that’s more acceptable to diss an online meeting than the in person one.

You're like a dog with a bone about this 😂

I'm wondering if you're a journal looking for a job seeker allowance type story. Hmmm
