Getting through today - tips for dealing with pain

Could do with some tips and maybe a tiny hand hold.
I have usual period pain for first two days, always accepted it and got on with it and fine with paracetamol. Over the past few months it has worsened. Not got any medical advice under current circumstances.
Today woken up with pain to point of nausea and tears, helped a little by painkillers. I’m in isolation as dd had a case in her bubble.
Is there anything I can do to ease things to get me through the day and still do things for/with dd.
Haven’t got a bath at the moment- would be in it now! Does anyone have anything else I can do to help myself?

Not much advice on dealing with the pain sorry but don’t feel guilty if you mostly sit around and watch tv with your dd all day.
Have soothing hot drinks all day, have easy food and carry on with pain killers.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hot water bottle on your tummy?

When I was at drama school in London, our movement teacher taught us that a good way of easing period pain was to stretch. Not to curl up in a ball ....which is our instinct...but the opposite. Lean backwards...gently though and slowly....try to go back and then come up...then go back and slightly to the left...then go back and to the right.

Rub the area briskly before you begin to warm it up a bit....touch your toes first and try to get your body moving.

She explained that cramps are caused by the muscles contracting and by stretching out like this, you help them release.

It works for me. x

Have you got a hot water bottle? And have a day of films under a duvet. One day won’t hurt your DD.

Thanks will give those a try. Think a day under a duvet might be the only way forward today- hate doing that though, thanks for the advice. Will try the stretching and hot water bottle, when I can move without feeling very sick. Thanks again
