Ideas for a gift to show you care about someone

Close friend is having a very difficult time in her pregnancy with lots of complications and hospital stays. I'd like to get her something just to put a smile on her face maybe and let her know we're thinking of her. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hope she has an easier time of pregnancy soon, poor thing.

Maybe a care package, colourfully decorated inside, with a few small, cheery items, rather than one big one?
(Obviously different to those pictured! Food-based probably last thing she'd want)

You could add some handwritten postcard reminders of all her strengths and abilities, perhaps of when she's previously survived very challenging times, for reassuring re-reading when she's overwhelmed.

And on a practical note, I'd include one of those drinking bottles with straw and an integral infusion basket for flavouring the water with whatever helps ease any sickness etc.

Whatever you send, I’m sure your friend will be very touched.
I’ve got a friend who’s having a rough time feeling very low. I’m thinking of what to send her too. I’ve found a book I think she’ll like. she can read when she feels better if she’s not up for it. I’ll add some nice chocolate and posh tea.
