The day after halloween

Ninkanink · 25/10/2020 18:43

I don’t decorate anymore (used to when the girls were small) but when I did the decorations came down the day after Halloween.

TeddyIsaHe · 25/10/2020 18:44

The day after, or if I’m feeling energetic before bed the same day.

UntamedWisteria · 25/10/2020 18:45

Viv0321 · 25/10/2020 19:18

Be Sunday the 1st for us. Just put them up today. Only have them up for a week

wendz86 · 25/10/2020 19:27

Day after Halloween .

Ignoringequally · 25/10/2020 19:28

We don’t have any but surely it would be the day after Halloween? It’s a one day thing.

PebblesAndBamBam · 25/10/2020 19:30

Hang on, we're supposed to decorate for Halloween too?!

EdithWeston · 25/10/2020 19:31

They go up on Hallowe'en and down on All Hallows Day

x2boys · 25/10/2020 19:44

I usually put a pumpkin out and maybe a couple of decorations on the evening of Halloween to welcome Trick or Treaters and take them down same evening ,I'm not doing this year ,I don't want any trick or treaters this year.

OhioOhioOhio · 25/10/2020 19:45

The day after Halloween.

Todaywewilldobetter · 25/10/2020 19:47

Do people really put up Halloween decs?

chickenyhead · 25/10/2020 19:47

We left the giant spider up last year. The kids named him Sammy. He will come down on 1st.

GuyFawkesHadTheRightIdea · 25/10/2020 19:54

After bonfire night, and then the Christmas decs go straight up.

Ninkanink · 25/10/2020 19:55

Obviously, lots of people do!

I used to decorate the kitchen window/front of the house so that the neighbourhood children knew to knock for trick or treating.

Ihatesandwiches · 25/10/2020 19:56

Ours usually stay up for half term. Put them away on Sunday night.

Where do you live that you don't see them?
IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 25/10/2020 19:58

Usually decorate just for the day but not bothering this year as don’t want trick or treaters to call. Am hoping next year we can welcome them again.

Rae36 · 25/10/2020 20:01

We put ours up tonight because this is the last day of our half term and I'm needing cheered up after seeing how early it got dark today. They will come down the day after Halloween.

ScrumptiousBears · 25/10/2020 20:07

I like to leave them until after bonfire night. Especially anything that lights up.

Viv0321 · 25/10/2020 21:28

Thanks everyone

Used to be as soon as dc had gone to bed after trick or treating

Todaywewilldobetter · 27/10/2020 08:43

Wgen we go Trick or Treating, there's pumpkins in windows or a skeleton on the door but not what I'd class as decorations in the Christmas Decorations sense. Unless we were having a party it wouldn't occur to me. And we're out TorT so never occurred to me to decorate our home! I didn't have in the same category as Christmas for decs.

BigBigPumpkin · 27/10/2020 11:32

Woah, that's early for Christmas decs! More power to you, but I don't think I could live with them for two months, personally.
