Bit daydreamy, and without getting into when or how this will end... what would you love to do 'once its over'.
I'd love to have my hair completely restyled, cut short. Then rent a cottage with a big group of friends and their kids and cook and play games together, maybe go swimming. And enjoy every last minute of being together x

weirdly, I fancy going on a silent retreat.

I feel as though I'll need to get used to not wearing a mask outside, as I can currently mutter "fuck off" at people & no one being any the wiser - a habit I will need to break ASAP!

Mydogatemypurse · 25/10/2020 10:39

Oh yes. A complete reset. To just get your head straight. I get it. Far away from home. X

I want to compete at my sport Brazilian juijitsu, I've not competed since February and it's killing me!!

I want to go on holiday and be able to train over there

I want to be able to work without the Ppe,

1moreRep · 25/10/2020 10:47

I want my dds to go to a party! To go and play with their friends without social distancing

SnowHare · 25/10/2020 10:53

Go anywhere on holiday that I need to take a plane to get to. (I do not fancy traveling by plane right now, although I know plenty of people are doing it).

ThoroughlyForumed · 25/10/2020 11:00

Get together with my massive family in a big air bnb again (usually done every summer). There will be two new members of the family by then too!

ShowerOfShite · 25/10/2020 11:01

Go to my home country and sit on the beach with friends and family. Swimming I the sea and a camp fire in the evening. Lots of good food.

BearSoFair · 25/10/2020 11:04

I'm going to go to Stockholm or Copenhagen. Maybe both, a few days each. I've wanted to for a while but just never book it, it's been years since I had a break outside of the UK and I learnt some basic Danish (already had some Swedish) over lockdown in Spring so why not go and put it to the test! Without DC, preferably on my own, but I might let DH come if he's back to work in the office by then and I'm not sick of the sight of him like I am when he's working from home Grin

Dominicgoings · 25/10/2020 11:04

Go out on an afternoon cocktail session with DH and end up dancing the night away to a live band 😊

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 25/10/2020 11:05

I want to have a family ladies day at my house with cocktails and sunshine and all the kids running around.

I want to get on a plane then lie on a beach thinking 'wow did all that really happen JUST LAST YEAR?'

I want to share a bottle of champagne with my best friend, to toast the person we lost this year.

I want to have lovely soft hands not ruined by sanitising slime.

I want to go to the pub with my husband, drinking pints and doing the cryptic crossword like we used to.

I want my daughters theatre group to start up again so I can see all the kids perform their hearts out.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 25/10/2020 11:06

Communal choirs, fêtes, theatres, concerts, family meetings, visits to elderlies in care homes and taking them out for the day, research in archives - lots of low cost events that bring people together.

SnuggyBuggy · 25/10/2020 11:06

Host some sort of tea and cake thing at home with friends to make up for all the missed birthday parties.

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 25/10/2020 11:06

Me again.

I want to take the kids to Belfast, Krakow and Copenhagen. More short breaks has been our resolution throughout this. Show them the world a wee bit before they are too old to want to holiday with us!

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 25/10/2020 11:09

See my kids do an assembly at school
Let them go to and have parties
Snog the face off someone Grin
Newly single and need a rebound haha

boatyardblues · 25/10/2020 11:13

Go to live music events.

Have a load of friends round for food, drinks and laughter.

Swim on a whim and without a 48 hr lead time.

Hug my lovely MIL and friends.

Go on a city break in another country and go to busy bars, restaurants and galleries/museums.

BeeFarseer · 25/10/2020 11:24

I will start driving lessons again and take my test. I had to stop lessons because my instructor turned out to be a Covidiot, and it was impossible to book a test anyway.

I want to go to a cafe for the afternoon, after going to a bookshop, and gently let time drift by with my new book. I will people-watch and just enjoy being anonymous in a crowd without having to worry about social distancing or covid-secure measures, and fearing for my safety.

I will hug my mum.

We will have a big family get-together, maybe a barbecue in someone's garden. I will enjoy seeing my nephew again and how he has grown. He is nearly two and I've seen him four times in his entire life. I think he will get on well with my youngest DS and I am looking forward to seeing them run around together.

I want to visit my friends and get merrily drunk under the stars next to a fire while we dissect 2020 and all we've been through.

amusedbush · 25/10/2020 13:01

I can't wait to go to a gig.

I want to go abroad without airport testing, masks, special quarantine rooms in hotels in case you test positive once you're there.

Weirdly, I can't wait to get onto my university campus! I was there once in January to interview for my PhD project and I started in July, so I've never been back. I've done all of my work at home and my supervisor has just announced her pregnancy, so I probably won't see her in person again until 2022! I did my BA and MSc via distance learning while working full-time so I was really looking forward to finally having that full-time student experience, on campus with other researchers. So far it's just me reading academic journals and listening to Taylor Swift in my joggers Blush

bodgeitandscarper · 25/10/2020 13:08

I'd like to just have days out without stressing about masks, how busy it will be etc.
Be able to hug my vulnerable mum. Travel to new cities. Be able to visit my son. Browse in shops. Make plans for the future.

Orangeblossom7777 · 25/10/2020 13:08

Do things spontaneously without booking. Quite fancy going to Iceland to visit the Blue Lagoon (geothermal pools)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 25/10/2020 14:07

Holidays, holidays, holidays.

I know I can technically go now but as I can't work from home quarantining wouldn't be feasible and with countries being added to the list at short notice I don't want to risk it.

MsAwesomeDragon · 25/10/2020 14:10

I want to join a choir. I love singing. I'm normally in the school choir but obviously it's not allowed at the minute.

I want to have a Brownies pack holiday!! We were supposed to be doing our first one at Easter, but obviously it was cancelled. We're not even back at face to face meetings yet because the church hall are prioritising church groups rather than community groups (quite correctly!)

ForeverRedSkinhead · 25/10/2020 14:15

For us , it'll be a nice break by the sea. We had one booked for Easter but had to cancel , we've not rebooked as we don't drive and won't travel from London to the coast on the train with 3 kids in this climate.

Also , a dinner out with my husband. We've just celebrated our anniversary but couldn't get a baby sitter and go out as usual as we're in a high risk area.

BogRollBOGOF · 25/10/2020 14:37

Turn up at places spontaneously.
Enjoy being in public indoor spaces again.

Have a big family piss-up

Go abroad.

Mydogatemypurse · 25/10/2020 15:33

Oh yes I miss live music and yes school plays etc... especially at Christmas. They will be lovely

I want to go and visit my best friend in Spain. She moved out there to live a few months ago and I really miss her.
