Best car insurance for learner drivers

DD is almost ready to take her test and needs extra practice.

Can anyone recommend an insurance company? I’m with Direct Line but DD mentioned the name of a company where you only pay per day (ie only for the days that she will drive my car) - has anyone ever used these?

I think that works out to be more expensive in the long run.

Try using moneysupermarket or comparethemarket to get some prices. I think veygo insure by the day, so have a look at them.
