hi
Last night i put our pop up tent up on the patio, how long can i leave it there for? It's a proper 4 person tent, guy ropes & all. (I'm actually a bit impressed I pitched it & its still standing tbh😊) it's on the patio with a tarpaulin under it. ds & i are in & out of it at the min, should i dismantle it & repitch it at weekends? Or can it be left standing for months?? Clearly i know nothing of tents.
Thank you wise mumsnet.

Are you using it just at the weekends all through the winter?

If so, I'd take it down between - if it's dry- to be honest. The weather can take a real toll on tents, not just wind and rain, but sun (UV) degrades the fabric too over time too.

Make sure it's properly dry when you pack it though or it will go mouldy.

The fabric will perish quickly if constantly in the sunlight but depending on the quality it should last many months.

Thank you, was planning on using it most weekends, i'll take it partly down & put in garage to dry. Will poles be ok bent? (Yep super lazy!)
