Feeling a bit rubbish and looking for some recommendations. What's your favourites? Can be movies or series anything goes, I really need something to distract me.

I'll start with my favourites Unabomber, Mindhunter, Dirty John, Supernatural, Greys Anatamy, New Amsterdam, Gossip girl Blush, Unsolved Mysteries, American horror story.

Following! I watched Good Girls recently but you may have seen it.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 24/10/2020 17:55

Mrs Maisel
The Fall
Line of Duty - BBC

I need some new suggestions too, but I only have iPlayer & Prime.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 24/10/2020 17:58

I watched Romeo & Juliet on iPlayer yesterday, which was light and amusing (apart from the ending, obv). It's directed by Julian Fellowes, so nice costumes and not too taxing on the mind!

This is Us on Prime

ExemptFromMasksSupporter · 24/10/2020 18:07

I hope you soon feel better.

Judging by your previous favourites have you seen Making a murderer, The Staircase, The Keepers, Murder Mountain, Trial by Media? Breaking Bad is a fantastic series to get into IMO and then Better Caul Saul. (These are all on Netflix).

But when you are feeling down maybe you should try and watch some more upbeat things!
How about Motherland, The Hangover movies, Peep show and Friday Night Dinner?

I also agree with Mrs Maisel on prime it’s well worth watching, I really enjoyed it and binge watched most of it.

Outlander, The Boys, Into the Badlands, Utopia, Ash V Evil Dead, The Expanse. These are all on Prime.

PoulePouletteEternellement · 24/10/2020 18:15

I've just watched 'Borat, Subsequent Moviefilm' on Prime. Rather better than some reviews suggested - but for some reason it left me feeling profoundly sad about the world.

Or maybe I'm realising just how much streamed film and TV I've watched over the past seven months ...?

Reader1984 · 24/10/2020 18:15

Watched a film called Final Cut with Robin Williams on Prime. That was quite good.

Lonelynow · 24/10/2020 18:21

Some fab suggestions. Lots to add to my list. @exemptfrommaskssupporter Should have mentioned I've seen just about every murder/true crime documentary there is. Slightly addicted to them. Peep show and Friday night dinner I love! Also Schitts Creek is good when you don't want anything heavy if anyone else needs something light.

Bosch sounds right up my street will definitely give that a go. The Boys I have just finished and really enjoyed it.

Calibre is magnificent

hummusandpitta · 24/10/2020 18:26

A lot of your favourites are on my favourites list too!

I recommend This is Us on Prime, totally hooked!

Esbm2015 · 24/10/2020 18:26

Emily in Paris - full of cliches but takes you away to la belle Paris! Riveria and actually have just got into Schitts Creek even though didn’t think it would be for me. Also Medici for hot men, a bit of history and stunning Italian scenery and more escapism with The Durrells. Think Gilmore Girls is on Netflix too.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 24/10/2020 18:38

Sorry Laurie, it looks like it has gone already. It was definitely there yesterday.

dorispiffle · 24/10/2020 18:41
