Anxiety and beta blockers

Does anyone have any experience of beta blockers? Did they make you gain weight?
I can't control my anxiety at all these days and I need something but the thing that bothers me is the weight gain and fatigue, as part of the reason why I was depressed and I've worked extremely hard to lose weight the past couple of years and if anything was to derail that then I know I would go downhill again.
Please can someone suggest something I will try anything.

I’m on slow release propanalol for anxiety and migraines. No issues with weight gain that I’ve noticed in the last year/18 months. My medication before beta blockers made me pile it on but I’m ok on these.

Propanalol user here and it’s been an absolute life saver this year for me. No weight gain.

Also on propanalol, find it very useful and no weight gain. Hope you feel better. 💐

Propranolol slow release here also. Don't think any weight gain. Was originally put on for anxiety, and to deal with tachycardia due to anxiety. I've been kept on them to add to my blood pressure medication.

Haven't noticed fatigue either. I think the slow release makes these very good. You might take a while to get the optimum dose. Good luck!

I do have low blood pressure, I hope that wouldn't stop me being able to use them Confused.
My anxiety is getting to the point that Its stopped me doing a lot of stuff that has affected my family and its making me feel crap.
The exercise has helped me with depression immensely but my anxiety is another issue.

I’ve found fluoxetine has helped enormously when I’ve been struggling with anxiety - just throwing that in as an option.

The beta blocker will help to alleviate some of the physical symptoms of anxiety, but it won't stop the anxiety. I have still found them very helpful taken alongside Sertraline. The bete blocker I take is Bisoprolol .

I could cope with the anxiety as long as it took away the shakiness and palpitations etc..
I've tried rescue remedy and kalms tablets but they don't do much for me.
