Do you have a hobby? And if not, what hobby would you like?

I've seen a few threads about DPs/DH's hobbies on here. Somehow, they seem to carve out time to do what they want, whether selfishly or not. Simply by calling something a "hobby" it seems to officialise it, so that time must/can be taken out to do it.

Do you have a hobby like that? And if not, for whatever reason, what hobby would you choose?

And why don't we officialise our interests like men (not all men Wink ) do?

So, me - I don't have a hobby as such, but if I had time, energy etc I think I might take up gentle kayaking. I find great peace pootling about on the water.

Note to self - make more effort to create this!

I have hobbies (reading, sewing clothes for dc, cross stitch, gaming) but they are done around the dc and housework. Generally in the evening when the dc are in bed

Running and crafting. DC are very small at the moment (currently still breastfeeding) so it all fits round them at the moment with an hour snatched here and there, but once they're less reliant on me specifically I fully intend to take more time for myself.

Paddleboarding. We all have a board but my favourite time to go is by myself or with a friend when we can go for a mooch along the river having a chat and enjoying the peacefulness.

I also enjoy reading, drawing and playing the ukulele 😊

I knit and crochet and I also learn a language, which is kind of for work purposes but I really enjoy it and consider it a hobby. These are things I largely do at home and find it pretty easy to find time for.

I often feel I ought to do something which would get me out and meeting people, but tbh I can't really motivate myself to do that. In the past when I've joined organised activities, I find I often don't really feel like going!

I don't have a hobby. Never have. Never wanted one.

Saying that, I always have made sure I get tonnes of me time. And I always will, let me assure you!
