Good quality non-leather school shoes

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get some? Dd has a bit of a trek to and from school, and has worn through a pair of cheap high street non-leather shoes in under 6 weeks.

They have to be plain black so the Doc Martens vegan shoes are out. And must be shoes rather than boots.

I'd get the vegan docs and Sharpie the yellow stitching out. I know they're expensive but they'll last ages.

I don't think I can bring myself to spend that much on shoes and then Sharpie them!

Do the vegan DMs actually last as well as the leather ones?

Asda is the only place I’ve found for my DS10. If she’s older, new look do a range of vegan shoes.

Long the vegan ones last better! My DD got some leather ones over a year ago and they're all cracking at the creases. Other DD's vegan ones are still looking great and she got hers 6 months before!

M&S have a decent vegan range of shoes for boys/men. And I've bought non-leather for my daughter from Sainsbury's
