Fluoxicillin, thrush and canesten

I'm on a course of fluoxicillin, started tuesday, have itchy lady bits today (friday) and a canesten pessary/cream arriving tomorrow. I'm assuming that the anti-biotics have given me thrush, so what to do now? I'll use the cream as soon as it gets here, but should I wait until I finish the anti-biotics before using the pessary?

Only had it once before, again with anti-biotic use, but was a longer course and less irritation I so just used cream to keep it bearable.

Shall I treat it tomorrow? Wednesday? Later?

Whenever I’ve had thrush from antibiotics I’ve used the peasary as soon as I got symptoms. Not sure why you wouldn’t if it’s needed?

My thinking was if the antibiotics are causing the problem, the pessary will only work temporarily and I'll be zapped by the antibiotics again. But I'm not sure of my logic.

I would use the pessary now and then if you symptoms continue or come back maybe get the tablet?

I always find it works better than the pessary anyway, but everyone's different.

Pharmacist here. Use the pessary/cream as soon as you can. This will keep the thrush at bay. Then, if after you've finished the antibiotics, the thrush returns (hopefully it won't though), you can ask for more.

Ok, thank you - I've been overthinking this haven't I? Will see what time amazon delivers tomorrow and ditch the itch.
