Where online (not amazon) can I buy an oil/ wax burner?

I couldn't resist some wax melts today I smelt when out, but I don't yet own a burner. Can find some in Asda but all weird shapes- unicorns etc

Nice one in Marks and Sparks with terrible reviews.

If you have one, where did you buy it?

Thanks

Oohhh I’m in exactly the same position. I can’t find any that look vaguely attractive except that gold M&S one.
Everything else I’ve seen is a bit twee looking

Yankee candle so electric ones which are much better and safer as no flame.

Kidssendingmenuts · 23/10/2020 16:05

Home bargains do some nice ones but also Asda in the smelly aisle with all the fabreeze stuff will have electric ones too which I love mine.

@Turnedouttoes have you seen the silver one on next? It's quite nice but Won't go with my bedroom

Thanks for that @mcgonagalscat Just had a look and it’s much nicer than any others I’ve seen but sadly our colour scheme is gold and very dark grey so it wouldn’t go for us either

Quite a few here - www.rockways-online.co.uk/home-scent

Try www.partylite.co.uk

Id also recommend an electrica one. Much easier to clean and much safer. Mine is just an AirWick one so not much to look at but you can get really nice stylish ones online.i just Google there and tonnes came up from all sorts of sites.

vanillandhoney · 23/10/2020 17:22

I got mine from eBay.

ShalomToYouJackie · 23/10/2020 17:23

Wilko, think it was about £3 or £4

GiantKitten · 23/10/2020 17:33

I’ve got a black airwick one - very dull but dies the job. I did have a Glade one but it was much higher wattage & the wax smelt kind of burnt - you want either one with a light bulb inside (like most of Scentsy’s, which are gorgeous but £££) or else max 14-15w.

Why not Amazon? Ethics?

GiantKitten · 23/10/2020 17:41

This one looks ok Smile
Though it doesn’t give you a detailed description re bulb etc

I can recommend a small business that sells them. Mrs B's Candles on Facebook. She make melts/candles and sells burners and stuff. Very reasonable and she posts.

No I'm not her, nor related. Just a customer.

MustardMitt · 23/10/2020 19:12

I have enjoyed melts by a local company and she has a lovely melter (out of stock but coming in soon) www.cheshirecandlecompany.com/shop

I would recommend the strawberry and Prosecco melts, and espresso and gingerbread (two different ones) mixed together are lovely.

Thelnebriati · 23/10/2020 19:24

I have a plain black one and a plain white one that I bought from the pound shop, and one shaped like an owl that I got on Ebay.
