Anyone used the Dylon machine dyes on shoes?

Just bought a dylon machine dye in black to refresh my work jeans. I have some old white vans & converse that were white and are now stained - would the dye work on these or would the rubber soles/edges go weird?

Just bought a dylon machine dye to refresh my jeans. I have some canvas pumps, would the dye work on these or would the rubber soles/edges go discoloured?

Can you do a discrete bit to check? Or do you want to put them in the machine to do it? My Nikes fell apart on a cool wash the other day, I’m gutted.

I wanted to put them in the machine, I’ve just decided to do the jeans and a bag now instead but may try with an older pair to see what happens
