Boys christmas presents

Can anyone give me some suggestions for my Grandsons Christmas presents. He's 5 and a complete petrol head already. He has more cars, vans and bikes, push along and RC than I can count and most of which he doesn't play with. He also loves Lego but its the same there. Asked, its all he'd ask for. I'm looking through the online catalogues and have found some great 'making' sets but they can be short lived, once done that's it. What's everyone else looking at? or been asked for?

My DS(5) is also mad about Lego so that’s what we are mostly getting him this year.

We have also got a Playmobil Space Rocket and the Mars Rover vehicle, books, a RC car, a dinosaur watch, and we’re still thinking of other things.

Other things that are popular which he has already is:

Kinetic Sand set
Train set
Scooter
Marble run
Playmobil Castle
Thomas the Tank Engine trains
Sand pit
Water blasters
Science sets
Think Fun Rush Hour Junior

I’ve heard that games like Dobble are good fun too.

There is lots of threads in the Christmas section which could give you some ideas.

@deborah1316 it is! I’ve come to the conclusion that most toys are tat and few have much longevity in them

Lego, you can’t have enough of it. There are so many themes of it that you can find something he hasn’t already got.
Jurassic world, space, artic, city, etc

Depending on budget the Lego trains are great. Remote controlled and can build a Cory around the track plus get extensions of track etc. Cargo one is better than the passenger one in my opinion as comes with loading crane etc

Mobilo is brilliant! Good investment toy: I've had years out of mine.

Schools buy it for a reason, and five is the perfect age for it.

My boys are older now but this has continued to come out over and over again.
Great fun and quick and easy to put up and down, unlike the hot wheel tracks.
They use all different brands of cars and trucks on it.
