Spot help - what’s next after Acnecide?

DD, 12, has quite bad spots on her forehead, which for the last year have been pretty much sorted by Acnecide. The last few weeks this seems to be really not working. She’s using it twice a day so nowhere to go with it really.

We will go and ask a pharmacist, I think, but just wanted to know if there is a usual ‘next step’. I’m reading about a few different things.

Thanks.

I should I say the Acnecide is Benzoyl peroxide.

I’m also reading about:
Nicotinamide
Azelaic acid
Topical retinoids
Topical antibiotics

I’d like to know which one to push for if possible.

Hopeful bump. Might be a bit niche.

A dermatologist I think.
DD was fine with salicylic acid products until she was about 16 (La Roche Posay Effaclar, Nip & Fab teen fix, etc are all salicylic products) They suddenly stopped keeping the outbreaks at bay so she moved to Benzoyl 5% then 10%.
If the BP isn't cutting it then maybe something non topical is needed.

Azelaic and Niacinamide are also for oily breakout prone, especially for fading scars and marks left behind.
What does she clean her face with?

Thank you. She was using the green one here and is now using the yellow one. You’ve made me think about this now. I’ve told her to go back to the green one pronto!

Would advise taking photos of her skin now and after she's used products.
It will help to see if stuff is working as sometimes after a couple of weeks it can be difficult to really see if situation has changed.
Plus if it gets worse you can show pharmacist or GP how things have altered over time

I've just bought a cheap Lumie Clear light therapy thingummybob from eBay and it's made a definite difference to my 13-year-old's spots.

We also find this face wash pretty good.

I think differin gel could be an option? I’m sure dr Sam bunting had some info on it on IG or her website
