Hi all. Wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

Basically it only turns on somtimes. So I can start a cake, mixes fine. Turn it off get some other bits to put in, go to turn it back on, but it won't, it's just completly dead.

I fiddle with it, clean it, on off. Somtimes it will start again. Somtimes it won't. Somtimes it will start without a beater and then as soon as I put the beater back on, it won't work again.

Has this happened to anyone and if so what was the issue. I had it for about 18 months before it started doing this and use it probably once or twice a fortnight.

It's obv not the motor or power or anything as it somtimes turns on abs works fine. So somthing is stopping it working, but what. There seems to be no consistency with what I fiddle with and when it will decide to work again.

Mine does this a bit too, only really in the last couple of years and its about 10 years old. I think it's one of the safety interlocks, raising and lowering the head and checking that the liquidiser and food processor caps are on securely seems to sort mine.

Hmmmm, that's what I tend to do to.

There is obv somthing that needs to be in place that's not, I just don't know what. I thought it maybe because the head wasn't clicking down all the way which was why it tends to work with nothing in it but not when food is in it. But that theory was wrong.
