Leggings for slim and tall 3yo girl

Has anyone found certain shops are best for leggings/trousers to fit slim and tall toddlers? My daughter is about to turn 3 and her 2-3 leggings are all too short but age 3 are all hanging off her waist and falling down.

Typically found sainsburys fit her well but the age 3 I bought yesterday have the same problem.

The worst I've found so far was h&m baby sizes where they were too short before she ever fit into the waist of them!

I ordered some leggings from M&S 3-4 which worked for mine

That's interesting as M&S leggings in the past have been big on the waist but maybe some styles fit slightly different or I got unlucky.

Might need to bite the bullet and take an existing pair to the shops to hold up against new pairs and see.

I ended up having to stitch a fold at the back. Next were quite annoying, I think she had some H&am ones that were ok.

You need to make sure trousers have an adjustable waist.

I struggled but found primark had the smallest waists. Cheap as well!

Thank you. Will try primark next time I'm at the shops and if all else fails I'll get the sewing kit out!

H&M always tiny sizes.

Sorry didn’t read all of your post! As she gets older maybe try H&M again as they are usually very narrow.

Sew3stitch · 22/10/2020 14:37

Thanks @Londoncatshed that's what I wondered as I feel I've seen before H&M suggested for small waists so maybe its the baby sizing vs the children's sizes. Since she's 3 should be able to try the kids range now. She definitely doesn't take after me so I've never had this problem Grin
