Nursery staff Christmas gifts

Sorry this is early... I'm a ftm and my little boy has just started nursery. What is normal to gift/receive? I'm thinking of loading a Costa card (there is one near by) but don't know if that seems a bit rubbish. I don't want to do wine because not everyone drinks and it feels a bit odd sending my baby in with a crate. What's usual?

We gave nothing, just a big tin of sweets when DD left. Especially with the situation at the moment, don't feel obliged.

As a nursery teacher I know we'd love the Costa idea but would be very happy with a nice Christmas card saying thank you.

My son will be taking a crate of diet cokes and a home made card.

Ah a home made card is a lovely idea. The woman that looks after him is so caring, I think she'll like one. I'll look at the Costa card or maybe a hamper. I would like to do something because I've probably been one of those parents and I know how nice it is to receive something for a job well done.
