Girls bit of advice please,

Dh has to travel from wales to Scotland this weekend to pick up a piece of machinery that is very important for his business, is this allowed? He will have to break the journey and stay overnight as it's too much to travel in one day,

I can't find any guidance that's clear online

Is it travel for work? I think so, and that is permitted.

Yes it's a replacement piece of machinery that he needs to be able to continue to work, he was able to source it second hand without having to wait for a new one,

Absolutely fine. He's allowed to work. No problem with that whatsoever, as long as he takes any precautions necessary at the appropriate points in his trip.
