The exact rules on this are confusing about what you can & cannot do ie can you go to lower area to higher area? can you stay the night doing childcare - re shifts?
anybody else confused or have some more precise info?

Depends where you live-1&2 can have grandparents caring in England.

In tier 1 you can provide informal childcare as long as the group is not larger than 6 and you endeavour to stay socially distant from people you do not live with.
Info here: www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid-alert-level-medium#childcare

In tier 2 you can form a childcare bubble with one other household (consistently the same 2 households). Gps cannot visit your house for childcare but the dc can go to them. They can stay overnight.

Can I piggyback a question? Do the gp have to socially distant while looking after the kids? And for what does "informal childcare" cover? We can't form a childcare bubble as both sets of gps have a semi-formal arrangement with another family, but are they allowed to look after our kids (and thus, touch them/help them/hug them)?!
