Wales Covid firebreak - qq re holidays

So, we're supposed to be going to Wales on holiday for half term. Mark Drakeford hasn't mentioned holidays, that I heard, but I assume our holiday will be cancelled, as everyone is being told to stay at home for 2 weeks???

I'd like to know asap so we can book somewhere else...

I'd say that comes under ' non-essential' so yeah, I'd say it will be cancelled.

The holiday company can't expect people to travel into a lockdown area, can they?! And sit inside all week?

He's just said that people must not come to Wales.

Holidays in Wales are not allowed during the lockdown. The rules applies to everyone in Wales

NoSquirrels · 19/10/2020 13:06

Yes, it'll be cancelled.

They'd already banned travel into Wales from Tiers 2 & 3, so this further restriction also bans the rest of the UK etc.

Thanks. (I'm sorry to sound selfish when people are going into lockdown, by the way.)
