Anyone know about usb cables? Help please!

Nc'd for another thread - not wanting to be anonymous about USBs!

I was really hoping someone could help.

I've lost the cable for the newer hard drive (at the top of the picture) and it's a different connection to the older one (at the bottom of the picture)

Does anyone know what this newer connection is called, so I can buy the right cable?

@Antonov it's not a doovde player, I don't even know how to go about connecting one of those any more! I'm just trying to take stuff off an old computer with a portable hard drive. It would have been simple had I not lost some of the cables!

Looks like the top one is usb c and the lower one is mini usb.

The new Macs have a usb-c.

Yes USB c and thunderbolt are different.
I would be amazed if you don't have a USB c cable that will work in the house. Most modern (non apple) phones use them to charge for example

They look the same but I think thunderbolt may transfer data more quickly. I use my mac charger to charge my non apple phone and use the same cables for transferring data etc and haven't had any issues.

Well. Given the question was thunderbolt and not thunderbolt 3 than I was right.
