I am on a group for our local area. It has brought to my attention how many racists are in our area. The issue is when you report the post or if someone calls them racist they start with the typical. 'We didn't mention race etc etc.'
I have numerous examples such as a post about a particular street that is known to have mostly people who are of ethic minority living there. Apparently that street is to blame for the high Covid in our area. Another example is every time a crime happens. Many of the comments say things like 'is it the usual suspects.'

Today has really annoyed me though but I know if I say anything it is hard to put into words how they are being racist. They are though. Basically a group of young Asian lads working on part of a registered charity are doing a charity car wash for Yemen. When traffic has stopped they are apparently sometimes go up to cars asking them for donations. Not right I agree. But they are making a massive deal out of it on the group. One commenter replying to a question about the charity said 'by the look of them they are clearly not fundraising for a UK charity.'
Can anyone put it in a articulate way. Every time someone does call them out they end up being called racist for 'bringing race into it.'

Ask what's the issue with not fundraising for a charity that is not UK based. Focus on their actual words and ask lots of whys. So why do they think it's people on x street spreading covid. Why do they think it's not a UK charity. Basically, hand them a shovel and let them dig.

I wish I knew! Our local group likes complaining about kids playing out on the street that include the only non-white family in the village. Anywhere else it’s all “aren’t they delightful/kids will be kids”
