My pumpkin soup is too spicy

And my dog is too much of a coward
He threw himself on the floor of the flower shop as if he was scooby doo

Everyone laughed and we went out again

Potatoes in the soup will absorb some of the spices (you can put them in in chunks and remove later if you don't want them in the final product).

And they'll have laughed in a 'isn't he adorable' way.

Mine had a stand off with a massive inflatable Polar Bear in the garden centre a couple of years ago. He was barking very loudly at it as it swayed menacingly back and forth. Everybody stared, we left soon after.
