Would you recommend? They feel lovely but I'm not sure if I could sleep in them 🙃 or how well they wash?

Had mine a couple of years now. I love it. Washes well. Haven’t got it out this year yet though

DinosApple · 17/10/2020 13:05

Love ours, it's really cosy in our cold house, but you might be too hot if you feel the heat. Also got them for the DC's.

DinosApple · 17/10/2020 13:06

Sorry, yes they wash well too.

We have one that we get out mid winter and it's fab!

As odd as it sounds I'd recommend getting the sheet too because I find that it helps regulate my heat more.

I got mine from TK Maxx years ago, should have been something ridiculous like £120 but was in the sale for £40, it washes and washes and washes. Really worth the investment!

AlwaysLatte · 17/10/2020 13:17

I just bought two sets each for my two boys because they're on the top floor and prefer heating off in their rooms but beds warm - polar bear ones for Christmas and grey ones for now. They're in the wash at the moment so I haven't used them yet but they seem really cosy!

GunsAndShips · 17/10/2020 13:19

I've just put one on my bed. It's been two days but I love it. DH doesn't but he is permanently hot. He sleeps naked and I have on warm pyjamas and my teddy duvet and I'm just right.

Reedwarbler · 17/10/2020 13:22

Yes, I've got a couple, plus teddy fitted sheets. They are very, very warm, and I say that as a cold sleeper. If you tend to heat up at night, might not be for you. For example, I have ditched the electric blanket as I just don't need it anymore, and I am using a 4 tog duvet currently as anything thicker would be too hot. They wash well, and more importantly, dry quickly. However, mine are superking, and if I didn't have an 8k washing machine drum, I don't think the cover would fit in. I have to wash it on its own as it is - they are very bulky.
My h and I sleep in separate beds, which is just as well because he doesn't like fluffy textured bedding and is a very hot sleeper. My dog loves it though!

Mo81 · 17/10/2020 13:30

Love ours theres a site called online home shop were you can get them cheap and the sheets too.

Elieza · 17/10/2020 13:31

Question for those who sometimes suffer from static hair for no apparent reason:
Does your hair go static when you’ve been sleeping on teddy pillows? Does the bedding give you electric shocks? (I’ve had that with other bedding in the past, flashes of light when you turn over etc. Most bizarre.

Oldraver · 17/10/2020 13:35

I had a teddy bear mattress protector and it was lovely thick and comfy, though it started to mak me too warm a few years ago. It was alos way too big for my home washing machine so had to take it to the laundrette until I cut it in half (I used to sew it back together after washing)

DS has a comforter with a teddy sheet on one side and loves it

Reedwarbler · 17/10/2020 13:36

No, I don't get flashes - I know the sort you mean. I use fabric softener though which might make a difference. I have never heard the bedding crackle like nylon used to. I remember the days of brushed bri-nylon nighties and nylon eiderdown, lights out was a wonderful crackling light show.

SoupDragon · 17/10/2020 13:37

DD has a full bedding set from Dunelm. One of the sheets lost all its fluffiness from where she spent so long lounging on it.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 17/10/2020 14:32

I got some for my DDs - sheets and duvet sets. My washing machine struggles with the double. It can manage the duvet cover by itself, but will refuse if I put even one pillow case in with it.
They're also huge and take up a lot of cupboard space.
DDs like them, though.

Tanfastic · 17/10/2020 14:39

I bought one and was really excited about it but to be honest I'm not keen on it! I find it a bit too hot. Dh loves it though.

I much prefer getting into a crisp cold bed and warming it up.

HeyLala · 17/10/2020 14:48

I bought 2 sets from M&S just last week. One for me and one for daughter at Uni.

We both love them, although probably using them too early. Need it to get really cold, as they are wonderfully warm and cosy.

Easy to stick your leg out though until the winter arrives!

Iamthedevilinthedetail · 17/10/2020 14:49

My daughter has one. It’s very warm she told me. But she loves it.

Enchantmentz · 17/10/2020 16:12

I only bought the teddy fitted sheets for me and dd. She loves the sheets and sleeps much quicker/better with it. She can't have the full set as she buries herself in the covers and will sweat buckets like she did at dgp with the full set. I like being cozy and warm in bed so I might consider a complete set. If you tend to overheat I would start with a sheet and go from there.

IveBeenGood · 17/10/2020 16:15

I wished I could love them, but much prefer brushed cotton (flannelette).

OnCandyStripeLegs · 17/10/2020 16:18

I prefer flannellette. DS1 desperately wanted a set but couldn't handle the heat, so DS2 inherited it and loves it - uses it year round. He also favours faux silk pillowcases in a cornucopia of nasty synthetic fibres.

notapizzaeater · 17/10/2020 16:21

We have them on all the beds - love them - the one on our bed has a 1.75 tog quilt, anything more and you'd overheat. Will look at putting a normal quilt in in the depths of winter.

WankPuffins · 17/10/2020 17:13

Anyone got a link for nice ones at a good price?

what a faff!!
CandyCaneLane0 · 17/10/2020 18:57

I have one from Matalan, I don't find it too hot but is slightly warmer than my usual bedding. I love it though, really cosy

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 17/10/2020 19:05

I love mine, I have a very light duvet in it and a weighted blanket over it. Getting in bed makes me so happy now. 😂

fantasmasgoria1 · 17/10/2020 19:14

Yes I have two full bedding sets and they are awesome. When it's cold and you get into bed on cotton sheets it's cold but when you get into bed with Teddy bedding it's not cold at all. Really comfortable and warm.
