I know lots of kids do enjoy running around outside whatever the weather but you know, some don’t and it’s kind of pants they can’t meet up with friends indoors.
Offering a cold/damp meet up in the local park (like we haven’t seen enough of that place...) as a fun half term alternative isn’t the same and some kids know they’re being fobbed off.
I can’t blame dd for wanting to just stay in her room, playing with toys in her PJs and listening to music and generally telling the world to F Off (in an 8 yr old way).
We will do some days out but this time I’m not going to try to force her to pretend that 101 arts and crafts ideas are super fun...
