I'm starting to lose track now. So it was someone from eastenders, Paul Gascoigne, and her latest one is London mayor.

I think she feels vaguely affectionate towards Boris as well.

Shall I just give her more chocolate and say where the corner is...?

Arsene Wenger

She's not a football fan but since retiring (years ago), she'll happily watch with my Dad.

PowerslidePanda · 17/10/2020 09:16

My secondary school science teacher Envy

RedRec · 17/10/2020 09:22

My mum loved Donald O'Connor - the one who isn't Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain. And Robert Donat, who was in Goodbye Mr Chips. Think it was because she liked calling him Robert Doughnut really.

vampirethriller · 17/10/2020 09:26

Kevin Bacon, but only his hands, and Jon Bon Jovi (all of him as far as I'm aware)

Lottapianos · 17/10/2020 09:29

My mother fancies Richard Branson Hmm

Mother in law's pin-ups are Martin Clunes, David Walliams and Gareth Malone Hmm

whatsoccuringnow · 17/10/2020 09:32

Kris Kristofferson is my mum's dream man. She also quite fancied Bradley Cooper in a Star is Born but was disappointed with him when she saw his usual looks.

ClinkyMonkey · 17/10/2020 09:34

@Awrite
DP's late auntie had a thing about Arsene Wenger tooGrin. She was was the spitting image of him. She refused to say his name because the word arse was in there and would just point at the screen and say 'there's my boy'. She didn't follow football, but lived with DP's parents, where it was on all the time.

Coffeecak3 · 17/10/2020 09:35

My dm is 85 and loves Brian Cox, my dd is 28 and has met, through work, Brian Cox. My dm is a bit jealous.

lilfoxfur · 17/10/2020 09:35

My mother is 62 and is obsessed and I mean obsessed in the fact that she has posters and pictures of them all over her house, dolls, household items with them on and constantly watches them and listens to them... with BTS the Korean boy band. The one that teenage girls like 😑 it's actually caused ructions between us as I find it so strange. She lives with my dsis who is 26 and just as bad so they just encourage eachother 😬

NemosPoorlyFinn · 17/10/2020 09:36

Too many to mention 😂

But I think a younger Adam ant and Marc Bolan would be her top picks
And maybe Alan rickman

Lottapianos · 17/10/2020 09:37

Coffee, is it Brian Cox the actor? I can definitely see his appeal in a beardy older man way and he seems like a seriously good egg. If its Professor Brian Cox, then hes a good looking bloke but ZERO appeal for me. Not that she cares either way I'm sure Grin

Cocolapew · 17/10/2020 09:38

Another Kris Kristofferson here, she's 78.
Her one true love will always be Tony Curtis and Elvis.
Her younger man crush is Jake Gyllenhaal though I doubt my mum has ever seen him in anything so I don't know where that comes from.
Mark Harmon from NCIS is another one but I also fancied him in St Elsewhere.

cricketmum84 · 17/10/2020 09:41

Mum (58) - Donny Osmond

Me (36) - dishy rishi, Robert Downey jr, Noel fielding. I have some weird tastes.

Livpool · 17/10/2020 09:44

Not my DM (although she loves Kevin Costner and Mel Gibson) but my late Nan loved Jose Mourhino(so?). She was 90 when she told me this and said he looked like a smouldering 40a movie star!

Trinacham · 17/10/2020 09:45

Paul McCartney and Colin Firth

cricketmum84 · 17/10/2020 09:48

@Livpool I totally agree with her!! He's such a handsome man!

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 17/10/2020 09:48

My lovely 72 year old mum has a thing for Jeff Goldblum...I'm ok with that Grin

cricketmum84 · 17/10/2020 09:49

Oh I forgot my DNan had a crush on the rugby player Martin offiah!

Ethelswith · 17/10/2020 09:50

The only crush I'm ever aware my DMum had (she's in her 90s) isn't weird - it was Laurence Olivier , because of his voice

dorispiffle · 17/10/2020 09:52

My 82 year old mother has a crush on Paddy McGuiness and watches everything he's in

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 17/10/2020 09:54

My late mother had a penchant for Tennis players. Henri Leconte and Andre Agassi were top of the list.

Coldwinterahead1 · 17/10/2020 09:56

Alan Titchmarsh Shock

Coffeecak3 · 17/10/2020 10:00

@Lottapianos the physicist. My dm loves science. In a better family she would have gone to university.

areyoubeingserviced · 17/10/2020 10:01

My mum has a crush on Jose Mourhino. She loves the fact that he is confident and ‘sexy’
She also loves Ashley Banjo of Diversity fame she describes him as the ‘epitome’ of what a gentlemen should be
She was furious when he was being criticised for that BLM routine

CMOTDibbler · 17/10/2020 10:08

My late mum had a real thing for James Hetfield from Metallica. It was the most unexpected crush ever tbh
