Hi I posted in Women's Health yesterday but I'm posting here for traffic.
I went for my Mirena coil fitting yesterday, everything was fine until the doctor measured my uterus, apparently normal measurements are between 5-10cms but mine was off the chart. She said she could fit it but I was at a higher risk of perforation so she's referred me for an internal ultrasound to see what's going on.
DD was born in January and I'm still breastfeeding and I think that could maybe be a factor but the doctor hadn't had this problem before so I'm just looking for reassurance if anyone else has experienced this?
I've had cramps since yesterday and I feel quite sick, is this a normal side effect of someone having a rummage around even though I didn't actually have the coil placed.
Just starting to worry a bit and don't want to do too much googling!
