I thought for sure today was a inset day and next week half term.
At 9.30am I get a phone call from school. I assumed they was going to inform me about a covid19 case.
They was checking my daughter was ok as she wasn't in school. It's bloody next week the inset day 😬😬
Anyone ever done this ?
She's there now

No but I have sent them to school when there was no school! They were extatic about getting to go home Grin

I remember turning up at school with my mum when I was about 7, to find it all closed. She thought the inset day was the week later.

My dcs very quickly learnt which days were holidays as they couldn't rely on me. They were also good at mufti and fancy dress days after we had to do a u turn near the school a couple of times for them to go home and get changed 😁

I'll be triple checking from now on haha.
Tbf 6 weeks pregnant and bloody shattered 💤. Was looking forward to a school run break and slow mornings

Twice in primary I must have sent my mum mad. One day told her, it's dress as a book character today 😁 cue leggings, zip up jacket and the saddle off my toy horse. I was Josie jump the jockey 😂 then another morning 'it's the decorate an egg competition today!' I remember poor mum stood trying to blow the insides out of a brand new box of eggs while I stood by with a felt tip to draw faces on them. I'd feel so panicked and rushed if my boys did that to me!

I once dropped my son off at school when it was closed for polling day Blush Fortunately, the junior school was open so they were able to access the records of the younger ones and call me. He was only about 5, I feel terrible even thinking about it!
