Fridays are now de facto non working days?

I work in a large organisation, most working from home and have noticed more and more are working a compressed fortnight with alternate Fridays off.

Have to say I like it as it means I can get on quietly with work without too many meetings or interruptions. My husband works in a completely different sector and is on back to back calls today from 8 in the morning.

Anyone else noticed the creep towards a shorter week?

My company are thinking about implementing a 4 day week as there is not enough work.

Same here. We now have a rule stating no meetings after midday on Fridays and I love it. My afternoons are so quiet and I can get on with other things. I don’t love my job at the moment so I really enjoy the quiet fridays as I don’t do much work
