13 year old birthdays

We're moving back to the UK at Xmas and thinking a head to Feb when our DS turns 13.

Obviously there will still be restrictions in place but please can you give me any suggestions to what 13 year old boys do to celebrate their birthdays? At the moment we don't have friends but by then I'm hoping he'll be able to to do something with 5 class mates?!

What do young teens do these days?

Ps - I'm fully aware it may not be allowed to happen, I'm just trying to make the transition to new school / friends / country easier IF we can.

Yes, mostly at weekends, but who knows come Feb?

What he can do will depend on what 'tier' of restrictions you live in.

This might have changed by February!

Cinemas open here (tier 2) but no mixing with people from other households inside - so could also not go to an indoor restaurant or someone's house for pizza.

Time with family going out somewhere, time gaming online with friends (birthday present game), whatever food they like for their meals.
That worked for us.
