Moving house

Has anyone moved house recently? I'm wondering what it's like having the removal guys in with covid rules?

We're moving back from overseas and have a 40ft container that needs unloading. There's 4 of us in our family. I'm thinking my husband and I will have to take it in turns to keep the kids out of the house if the max number is 6?

The removal company are being a bit vague (which to be fair, I do understand) and saying there're not sure on what the rules will be on the date our shipment is released from the port.

I'm a bit concerned there will only 2 guys available to help unload because they know there's 4 of us. It will take them forever and some of the stuff is really heavy.

How did you manage it?

Thank you 🙏

Surely this is taking the Covid rules to the extreme? If they are in and out of the house anyway, it will only take a couple of hours to empty a container and they won't want to hang around! if it was me I wouldn't worry but I am someone who takes sensible Covid precautions on my own risk assessment rather than obeying all the rules to the absolute letter.

How old are your children? If they are not able to actually help with the unpacking surely it would be better to have them out of the house whilst heavy furniture is being moved around anyway?
