Is all the confusion over Covid enabling the government to sleep walk into a no deal Brexit, which is what they wanted all along.

Sadly it's looking like it. Sad I really hope not...

lughnasadh · 14/10/2020 21:51

They aren't sleep walking into it, they are actively gunning for it.

52% don't you know.

Fucking arseholes who voted for it deserve everything they get, but we have to suffer too.

Pixxie7 · 14/10/2020 21:55

I don’t know why I am surprised but it looks to me as if Boris lied about getting a good deal.

Please get this moved.

The government isn't sleep walking into no deal. Just because the media aren't incessantly talking about Brexit doesn't mean that nothing is happening or trying to happen. We can't get to the 'oven ready deal' which is sitting there already because the EU insist on us agreeing to let them keep fishing our waters and abide by loads of their rules that they have never asked any other country to do before they can have a trade deal. The EU 27 are meeting for two days this week let's see if they come up with some compromise.

Pixxie7 · 15/10/2020 00:08

In that case we were mislead.

In what way Pixxie7

Pixxie7 · 15/10/2020 00:27

We were told that Boris had negotiated a fantastic deal, he clearly hadn’t.

Doubletrouble99 is untroubled by evidence of government malfeasance. The agreement on the table is the one Boris signed off. Apparently without reading, since he now says it's terrible for Britain. He's right there, but it's entirely his doing.

Europe have bent over backwards to let our dear govt hang themselves with their own rope. Unfortunately that hangs the rest of us too.

Stop knocking borris it must be clear to anybody watching the news and europe.they dont want us to leave..they will make it as difficult as possible and give nothing away...they certainly want to set an example to other would be leavers that exiting europe is a bad idea....i know we have high covid deaths for a number of reasons..not helped by our love of drink and partying..but vaccine program must be something to be proud of...look at the mess central european government is making of what should be a world leading example..its a shambles..to many chiefs more worried about dinner party invites and ego than the people they supposedly represent...and while speaking about brexit lets be truthful about it i dont think many people in the uk are colour preudiced but do hate alien cultures that very often stop women doing certain things and make women do certain things....religion was invented all over the world in many forms usually by men to control people...brexit was about the discomfort of feeling pushed out in our own country...lets not forget religion has been the worlds biggest killer of mankind one way or another...lets face it if you dont believe in one of dozens of gods you must be faulty in some way...lets just know people exist and just fit in never mind talking about communities and groups etc etc we should be as one....so wise up ban every controlling religion...we dont accept it from government or the dictatorial social media so why from make beleive farytale gods...sorry got off topic there....brexit...we chose it so get on with it...stop wingeing....you can blame whoever got us into europe in the first place...it was always going to be messy getting out...think of the uk as a working child leaving a poor family...not easy to accept
