Handheld vacuum with a hose attachment - do they exist?

I would like to buy a handheld vacuum, but all the ones I've seen just have nozzles or brushes on the ends of the main body, so you can't get round awkward corners or e.g. right under car seats.

Do they exist with a hose attachment? Are there any good ones?

We have a Black and Decker Dustbuster Flexi. It's crap. Weak suction, and the dusting nozzle supplied is pretty poor. Battery life is good - but you'll need it to be with how long it takes to clean anything!

But they do exist.

We have a lift away shark and the hose stays attached to the body when it lifts away.

Prefer it as a lift away than an actual hoover though.

We've got a Gtech Multi that does exactly this (the hose extends out of the front when you pull the nozzle) - used mine for the car last week

PS: For comparison we also have a Dyson v6. While the Dyson also has its flaws, it's significantly more powerful and better at cleaning. But then it also cost almost ten times the price of the Black & Decker.

I have the G Tech, it's really good.

MaggieFS · 14/10/2020 21:40

Thanks very much! Indeed with car attachment, the Gtech is exactly what I have in mind. @amusedtodeath1 @ThePug Is it quite noisy? I'm seeing that mentioned in reviews but don't know if it's a big issue?

Sorry g tech.

NannyR · 14/10/2020 21:44

I've got a Dyson and I got a set of tools with a hose included as a special offer when I bought it.

I also have a G tech and it has what you are after it comes with its own bag of tools
