Pregnancy after MC

This is my first post on mumsnet, please be kind! I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks in the summer and have found out I’m pregnant again. I’m happy but also very nervous / scared I’m going to end up with the same happening again. I can’t go through it again, I still find it devastating. I’m so lucky to already have a 2 year old, my first pregnancy was completely straight forward, no issues - pretty much a text book pregnancy. I’m sure there are many women that have been in this position, and just wanted to hear about other experiences and whether it worked out for you. Thank you. X

Congrats! I was absolutely terrified when I was expecting dd after I had a miscarriage. I refused to buy any baby items until I was 8 months along. She is now 10 and going strong. Big hugs about your miscarriage.

Thank you @Nomnomarrgh. I’m sorry to hear you had to go through it too but so pleased to know it all worked out for you with your dd. X

I had a miscarriage just over 2.5 years ago at 10 weeks. Got pregnant 5 months later and now have a one and a half year old busting around the house and into everything. I too was terrified when I fell pregnant. Just take it week by week. Try not to think too far ahead too soon. Massive congrats to you and hopefully works out happily Flowers

Thank you so much for your reply, it’s good advice to take it week by week. I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage. One thing that surprised me when it happened to me was how so many women have gone through it, it can be such a lonely time but knowing you’re not the only one makes it a little less lonely. Congratulations on your little one, they suddenly get so busy at that age! Smile
