Noticed during lockdown that i had a small mole on my back that has roughly doubled in size. Still pretty small but it waa very small to start with.
Went to the gp who had a look, said she wasnt concerned but because of the size change, she would refer it through to dermatologist.
Gor my outpatient appointment through the other day, and got a bit of a shock when the appointment was titled 'melanoma' i suppose it makes sense, as rhats what they are investigating, but it made it more real than just a quick check on a mole, so a bit anxious about it now.
From looking online it mentioned that they might remove straight away, is that something that coukd be done at first visit? It is small so suppose it could be done, but no idea whether to expect this or not.
Can anyone share whats likely to happen at the referal appointment?
