Tell me about your boring coincidences

I have had four boyfriends in my life. All of them have gone by their middle name rather than their first name and with all of them I only found out that it wasn’t their first name after dating them for a while. Since the breakdown of my marriage I’ve been seeing a man for a few months. A couple of nights ago we had ‘the talk’ and decided that we wanted to have a proper relationship.

We then had a few drinks and were comparing our terrible photos on our driving licences. I mentioned to him that all my other relationships had been with men who go by their middle names and, in the case of my xh, I’d only found out what I’d been calling him wasn’t his first name after about a year when he happened to show me his driving license for something. New man then told me he’d had his name changed by deed poll when he was at university. He’d always gone by his middle name and he was fed up of people calling him by his first name.

I know it’s not very interesting and it’s not particularly rare to go by your middle name but I just think it’s really weird that all my partners have had this weird trait. Does anyone else have any coincidences that don’t make a particularly good anecdote but you personally find really odd?

Mine and my DH's family all share birthdays. So, me and MIL share a birthday, Dh shares a birthday with my mum, my dad shares a birthday with my sister in law and my gran shares a birthday with BIL.

It makes it easier to remember!

We also seem to all share the same initials. In our direct family, we all have names that start with J & C (me and DH, my parents, MIL and SIL). My initials including middle name were the same as my DF until I married, and now my initials are the same as my sister in law again including middle initial.

We didn't notice until we named our DS and he also now has the same initials again including middle name as me. We broke the pattern with DD- it was getting too weird!
