Being totally nosey here.

Super curious as to how the super high earners make their money. I suspect it’s down to owning a business or via investments but really intrigued to hear more about what kind of business or what kind of investments, or career of you are an employee earning that much.

I know mn hates money threads, but sod it, I’m asking anyway!

Not me but people I know from school and university - we are late 40s with twenty+ years in our careers. Obviously not been told directly but their houses, where their children go to school etc speaks volumes.

Some work in family businesses that are not quite household names but well established over at least a couple of generations.

Pension fund managers.

Private Equity.

Equity Partners in a Magic Circle law firm.

Senior managing figures in FTSE companies.

QC with a niche practice in a second jurisdiction by virtue of being bilingual.

Dentist with a multidisciplinary private practice.
