Wondering if anyone could help me. I got this car seat because it reclines but it just seems too tight! I took out the padding and shoulder area still seems tight. Is anyone using this car sear? Not sure if I can make it loose? It’s not the straps but the part where the head and shoulders rest. This is the second one I brough and just not happy.

Have you moved the headrest up so it's in the right position for your child? It shouldn't be tight on them, but if they are too tall for the current headrest setting, then it might feel like their shoulders are squished into it. The headrest should be just above their shoulders with no more than 2 fingers' width between shoulder and bottom of headrest.
