Accommodation suggestion?

Can anyone suggest somewhere nice to stay as a getaway for a couple. Doesn't need to be super-fancy and very open re location, couple of hours from london inthe bottom tier, obviously.

Planned activities are walking, shagging, reading, eating. By the sea would be ideal. but not essential.
