Hello! Wondering if anyone can advise. I have a chunky nine month old who LOVES food, has a little paddy when meals are finished most of the time.
He's 50th percentile for length and just above 50th for weight (by about half a pound) and comfortably in 9-12 month clothes with a fair bit of room, apart from in the length.
However, I'm not sure if I'm feeding him too much, as he will eat whatever I put in front of him, or not enough, as today he was really crying after his nap and I realised his little tummy was grumbling so gave him his afternoon bottle and now he's perfectly happy.
An average day is:
Morning bottle 70z formula
weetabix/porridge/mini homemade pancakes (three tablespoons ish of the first, three mini pancakes)
Snack - rice cake (baby x 2)/melty puffs (2 1/2)/porridge fingers/fruit
Lunch: Pasta in vegetable sauce, chicken casserole, fish pie and mashed sweet potato (about 3-4 tablespoons) plus fruit
Afternoon bottle 7oz formula
Dinner - meat and veg/spag bol with extra veg/chicken and veg bake/cheesy risotto/lentil veggie bake, fish pie etc - all about 3-4 tablespoons with fruit. Sometimes an Ella's pouch if we are out or in a rush or it's online shop day.
Bedtime bottle - 7oz of formula
He rarely turns anything down and cleans his bowl every time. I'm really struggling with portion size as most other babies we know play with their food more and don't eat everything so friends can't really help.
