Dry flaky nails - hand gel???

My nails are usually strong and healthy.
I've just taken off my gel varnish and found they are very flaky. I haven't been doing anything recently that might cause it.
Is it hand gel?
Anyone else?

Mines the same. I think it’s hand gel, extra hand washing and cleaning.
I have to keep them really short now as they are just flaking.

I'm sanitising my hands multiple times a day at work.
I've just slapped on a load of nail oil and will leave them bare for now.

I’m the same. I think it’s the alcohol content that’s been stripping them
