How have you stopped your dc picking scabs?

Both my children have upset me today. Dd2 ear piercing got a bit manky from nickel and weeks later it still is because dd2 rips every scab off.

Dd1 has had some bursts of mild acne. She's 11. It's responded really well to acnecide and her skin was totally clear yesterday. Today she's ripped scabs off I couldn't even see and her hairline as a bloodied mess again.

Any advice please.
