Has anyone grown out a Hollywood?

Oh my god, the itching! I've removed my pubic hair for the last 20 years almost and during lockdown decided to grow it back. I'm not sure if I can bear it much longer! It's not even fully grown back but the itching is killing me and it just feels odd and comfortable. Will it get better or did I just forget how uncomfortable pubic hair is?

Jees, I'm 29 weeks preggers, can't see it to shave it and it's driving me bonkers

Once it grows back it will be absolutely fine!

StarlightLady · 11/10/2020 14:21

You have probably forgotten how uncomfortable it can be. If you think it feels bad now, wait until the hot weather.

@StarlightLady Shock

I'll be taking it all back off this weekend then! I can't believe how uncomfortable I am with it. My hair is very thick and wiry though, exactly like a man's beard.

@fifthtimelucky Its been 5 months! It's a bit patchy in places but the majority of it's back.

Doesn’t it just itch for a week until it gets past the spikey stage? How does hot weather make hair uncomfortable?

StarlightLady · 11/10/2020 16:23

@Suckmuckduck - The hot weather and the hair makes the whole area more sweaty. Which is why hair removal is often practiced in hot countries.

Suckmuckduck · 11/10/2020 16:27

Hmmmm, I‘m not sure I agree with that. Doesn’t hair keep you cool? Do men in hot countries shave their bodies?

BashfulClam · 11/10/2020 17:16

I got a Hollywood once and let it grow out, no itchiness. I never really do much more than keep it trimmed and bring it in at the sides if going on holiday.

@Suckmuckduck - If you study history, the answer is yes. Regularly practiced in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome and a service offered is the bath houses.
